Society Speaks is civic infrastructure: free for most people to use, open source, and independent of advertising. Donations help us keep it that way.
Why donate?
Running deliberation at scale costs real money — servers, email delivery, machine-learning analysis, moderation tooling, and engineering time. We do not sell your data and we do not show adverts. Donations from supporters like you help close the gap between what civic features need and what subscriptions alone cover.
- Keep core participation free — Journey, Daily Question, Daily Brief, discussions, programmes, and the News Transparency Dashboard
- Fund open-source development — our codebase is AGPL and auditable on GitHub
- Stay independent — no ad networks, no selling personal data to third parties
How we sustain the platform
We are transparent about revenue. Society Speaks is funded in three ways — you only pay if you use a paid product or are a publisher partner:

Paid custom digests from £4.99/month for people who want their own sources — subscriptions fund free civic features.
Publisher partners
Media and organisations subscribe for live embeds and the Partner API (from £49/month; free tier for testing).
